Oh, hello there!
Wondering who we are—and how all this granola business got started? It’s a pretty great story.
Back in 2008, Nekisia Davis was running the show at a famous pizza restaurant in Brooklyn. One night after work, she found herself dreaming about a better granola. The next morning, totes in hand, she hit her local co-op for ingredients and went home to make a batch. And WHOA—it was salty, it was sweet, it was covered in olive oil. It was unlike any granola she’d ever tasted.
Her friends and coworkers flipped for it, and Early Bird Foods & Co. was hatched! Martha Stewart was one of our first big fans. Then came Melissa Clark at The New York Times, Rob & Robin at New York Magazine, and—well—all of everyone everywhere. ;)
More than 17 years later, we’re still making the VERY BEST granola anywhere the finest of cereals are sold. Voilà! Early Bird is WOMAN & QUEER-OWNED + OPERATED—and damn proud of it.
